MST Cars brings you the special edition WORKS MK1. A brand new build based on the origoinal rally car, powered by the iconic BDA twin cam engine, using tried and tested parts such as the Atlas axle and Bilstein suspension etc with modern touches including power steering, latest ECUs and electrical systems. With an all new steel bubble arched shell with full works rally livery, it really does live up to its iconic status.

In 1968 Roger Clark rallied the car that he was most associated with, the Ford Escort Mk1 RS and was part of the works rally team until 1979, Clark and co driver Porter won the British Rally Championship titles driving Escorts in 1972, 1973 and 1975

1974 RAC RALLY VICTORY
The famous LVX942J MK1 RS1600 is probably the most famous of the Mk1 rally cars of the era, car number 4 on the 1974 RAC Rally driven by Roger Clark and co-pilot Tony Mason. Their victory on the ’74 RAC rally was very significant as they became the first British crew to win the event after it moved on to forest special stages
Works Mk1
Each MST Cars Special Edition Mk1 is bespoke and built to order here in North Wales, UK. The build is based on the original works cars, featuring steel bubble arched shell, 6 linked rear axle and turreted rear coilovers with all the strengthening that a proper rally car requires, including a weld in roll cage. The classic BDG engine is fueled by Jenvey throttle bodies and managed by the latest Life Racing ECU. Cars can be built for fast road & touring with fully trimmed interior or can be supplied as an FIA spec rally car for competition use.
