STAGE 1
Llanberis to Pen Y Pass
Start off with a coffee and cake at the famous greasy spoon cafe of Pete’s Eats. Now that you’re on the road you can start winding past village pubs before the real climb begins up to the highest car park for hiking Yr Wyddfa.
If you see a proper car park grab it and take in the views or maybe even a hike up to the highest point in Wales and England.
Enjoy a very scenic drive up Pen Y Pass
You can really put your car to the test on this hill climb, all under the speed limit of course.
STAGE 2
Pen Y Pass to PYB
As you drive down the pass the countryside opens up a bit. As you turn left you will see Pen Y Gwryd Hotel where Sir Edmund Hillary's training base was before his 1953 Mount Everest ascent.
Carry on passing a few lakes and you will end up at Plas Y Brenin, the National Outdoor Centre, where you brush uop on your outdoor pursuit skills.

You will see a few lakes on this section along with Pen Y Gwryd Hotel and Plas Y Brenin.
STAGE 3
PYB to Llyn Ogwen
As you leave Plas Y Brenin you will come across a few outdoor stores and the odd hotel and pub. On the right there is the odd waterfall.
The open road winds its way towards and past Tryfan, which forms part of the Glyderau group, and is one of the most recognisable peaks in Britain. You can stop at Llyn Ogwen for many hiking options or even a cup of coffee.
Aim for tryfan and you can’t go too far wrong
The A5 winds its way towards on of the most recognisable peaks in Britain.
STAGE 4
Llyn Ogwen to Bethesda
You'll need to try and not stare at the breathtaking views as you drive down the A5 towards Bethesda. If its raining or just rained you will see possibly huundreds of waterfalls all over the moutnains.
As you enter Bethesda, well known world wide for its slate from Penrhyn Quarry, you will see signs for Zip World.

Wind your way down towards Bethesda taking in the amazing views of the U shaped valley formed by a glacier.
STAGE 5
Bethesda to Llanberis
Follow the A5 towards Bangor but turn left. This section is more built up so keep an eye out for traffic, tractors, cyclists and hikers.
You will pass through farm fields and Welsh small towns before you start climbing up hill.
Stop off at Llyn Padarn to cool off before getting back to Llanberis.

You'll pass through a lot more Welsh towns on this section the finally climbs back to the start.
